Polyethylene or PVC covered portable garages and shelters are the value based outdoor shelter solution for boats, cars, SUVs, vans, pontoons, and equipment. Our all weather garage and shelters provide the needed protection from the harmful effects of Mother Nature including snow, rain, sleet, ice, wind, and harmful UV rays. With today's consumers becoming ever more cost conscious, these portable shelters provide a cost effective alternative to the high cost of a traditional wood or metal A-framed shelter building. In addition, our garage products can be installed or placed on any mounting surface including concrete slabs, wood platforms, walls, asphalt, gravel, and even rocky soil. Due to the unique and "portable" nature of these garage tents, they must be properly secured to prevent damage to the garage and its contents. All shelter units are secured by utilizing a variety of anchoring options. The first anchoring option is the wide based rectangular foot plate. These shelter anchors are recommended for all mounting surface applications, however, they are required for concrete, wood, and steel railing applications as they have pre-stamped or drilled holes for the insertion of concrete anchors, screws, bolts, and wood lags. For softer surfaces such as dirt and gravel, the foot pads provide "anti-sink" properties to support the portable carport legs. Another type of anchor is the auger. Auger anchors are "rotated" into the ground or inserted upon digging a hole. A bracket or cable then fastens the auger to the shelter frame for security. The "tarp" like covers are thermal sealed woven polyethylene which provides for a water tight seal. Different grades of polyethylene are available depending on the series. The Storage series line of garage canopies has a thick, heavy cover which has a 15 year life expectancy. The Sale series line of garages has a lighter duty cover which has a 3-6 year life expectancy.
